Gotta Love the Boob Tube

I watch alot of TV. ALOT OF TV.

K, now that we've established that, here are my favorite TV shows of this (month? year?):

- My Name is Earl: Didn't sound too promising when it first started, but I gave it a chance mainly because it starred Jason Lee and Jaime Pressley. As it turns out, Earl is one of the funniest shows on TV, and it has just moved to Thursdays (meaning of course I now have to tape CSI or vice-versa). A must-see.
- The Office: Unfortunately, we don't get the British version, which I hear is funnier. However, the US version is funny enough for my tastes. Never miss an episode, and I've already identified the characters on the show with actual people who work at my office. Like the Dilbert strips, I find that the jokes are even better when you work in an office, you can really relate to the subtleties.
- CSI and CSI:NY: Note that I have not mentioned the Miami hybrid of this otherwise great franchise, as it sucks. The original, as well as its NY spin-off, are really the ones to watch, in my opinion. Grissom's puns are always classic and always funny, as opposed to Caruso's lame attempts at acting, talking, heck, even walking is a challenge for him. The NY spin-off provides the same quality as the original, but different storylines, so I regard it as bonus CSI viewing.
- The Simpsons: Everyone knows where to find me Sunday nights at 8. In front of the tube, catching my all-time favorite show. I read that it is now the longest-running animated short, surpassing the Flinstones, and is possibly the longest-running sitcom as well. When the show is in reruns, I can take comfort in the Simpsons comics, that include different stories that are not on the show. And if you read them using the Simpsons voices, it's like watching an episode (albeit in your head).
- The L Word: Someone compared it to Sex and the City. Wrong wrong wrong. SATC had its funny moments, yet I quite frankly could never really feel for any of the characters. I found most of the SJP's storylines quite lame, and if it wasn't for Kim Cattrall, prob. would not have watched as many episodes as I did. L Word obviously centers solely on lesbians and it is mainly a drama. I L-ove this show, and can't wait for the new season. Note: I hate the new theme song, but their fresh storylines makes me forgive this.
- Dog the Bounty Hunter, Inked, Roller Girls, WebDreams, Sin Cities, etc.: All the shows that either run on A&E, Bravo or Showcase. Original, fun, hilarious, unexpected. Oh, I am on their payroll also.
- Family Guy: Saw Stewie's movie, and although it was funny, was not as good as the actual show. Always full of idiocity, and what makes Peter different from Homer is that he is thouroughly stupid and he doesn't have a heart. He is truly mean, but I don't think he even realizes it. He is like an autistic Homer, if that is even possible.

There are so many shows out there that are worth my time. Now that I have access to even more shows, I am even able to do the memory lane thing and re-watch classics from my youth. To be discussed later!
